CHF International: Automating Business Processes to Make a Better World

Problem: A large nonprofit that works internationally for positive change in low- and moderate income communities needed to replace the spreadsheets and standalone databases it was using to manage its proposal development and contracts processes.

Solution: Customize and implement salesforce.com CRM software to achieve the following goals: (1) coordinate and streamline proposal development to include automated alerts, checks, and approvals; (2) ensure “anywhere, anytime” access to program development officers and others in 40 countries; (3) provide a secure, authenticated member-based user interface.

Results: The new system delivered enhanced data capture, tracking, management, and reporting of program development process activities and resources. This resulted in CHF’s processes becoming more efficient, controlled, and timely.
